Five area hubs are now established for each of the 5 Bradford district constituencies. These link into a network of smaller Neighbouring Support Centres, which include local community centres, groups and food hubs. Our church has been recognised as one of these Neighbouring Support Centres in Wibsey, under the supervision of the South Bradford Area Hub. We already provide emergency food parcels to families in difficulty and have a network of volunteers giving regular phone calls to persons in auto-isolation. We are waiting further instructions to be able to do shopping for auto-isolated people who cannot access online shopping, and deliver prescriptions. For more information, call the vicar: 01274 676359, or 07936023093.Note that the Neighbouring Support Centre should be used when family and friends support does not exist or has been exhausted. We are seeing a huge increase in the number of people falling sick with COVID-19. We must distance ourselves from one another and prevent the spread of infection in order to save lives. Therefore, as well as public worship being suspended, this and all church buildings in the Church of England are now closed. Our worship of God and our care for each other continue but cannot be done in this building. Our website will give updates of how to join others online for prayer, worship, study, and community life. The vicar of this church can be contacted using the page 'Get in touch'“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12.30-31)To protect the vulnerable amongst us, please do not leave your home except for essential trips. Thanks.
