Church of England Diocese of Leeds St. John the Evangelist, Farsley

Farsley: St John the Evangelist

St John the Evangelist is a welcoming church open to all. We commit ourselves to be a family friendly, open to all, as well as being accessible to members with physical or learning disabilities. We are pleased to say that we have a Changing Places toilet inside our church with access from the outside, a hearing loop and level access in side and outside the church as well as our Church Hall.

"The parish of Farsley: St John the Evangelist is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."

At the moment we are re-introducing this service and it is on twice a month. Please see the website for the dates when we it is on. 30 minutes. No hymns. Sitting together in the choir pews. Every 1st Sunday of the month we use the traditional Book of Common Prayer. We are looking to getting this service to be live streamed in the future.
