Sundays

You are welcome to join us in church for services every Sunday morning.

  • 8:30am - a short traditional service of Holy Communion
  • 9:30am - a joyful and noisy service especially for families with babies and young children
  • 10:30am - a service of lively worship for all the family, often including Holy Communion with a Sunday School available

Weekdays

St John's is open most weekdays and you are welcome to visit.

Take some time to look around the building, pray in private or just enjoy the peace and quiet. 

It is usually open from 10am until late afternoon but please contact us if you would like to visit at a specific time to check the building will be open. 

Saturdays

 St John's is also open once a month on Saturday mornings to coincide with the Farsley Farmers Market.

Getting here

St John's Church sits in the vibrant suburb of Farsley in the west of Leeds close to Pudsey.

You will find us on the east side of Town Street which runs through the centre of the village and is filled with independent shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Travelling by car

We have a small car park at the back of church, accessed from New Street at its junction with Old Road. There is also on-street parking available on surrounding streets.

The nearest motorway links are via the M621 from the M1, A1 and M62.

Travelling by public transport

Farsley enjoys excellent transport links to both Leeds and Bradford.

  • New Pudsey railway station is a 20 minute walk from St John’s.
  • Weekday trains to Leeds run four times an hour and take less than 15 minutes.
  • Weekday trains to Bradford run four times an hour and take less than 10 minutes.
  • Evening trains in both directions run until after 11pm.
  • Buses run seven days a week from outside St John’s Church to Horsforth, Pudsey, the White Rose Centre, Leeds city centre, Gipton, Seacroft and Whinmoor.
