Following the announcement in last month’s NIB, all those involved with the restoration of the bell and its tower are delighted that work has now also started on the wall. This includes the major restoration/conservation, to the west boundary wall of St Peter’s Church, by local firm Conversion Green. All this work is due to the generosity of local people, a grant from the Garfield Weston Trust and the major contribution received from the National Lottery Heritage Fund’.
