A Big Thank You from Us

What an amazing success! After such a long period of fundraising - over 7 years, finally we were able to celebrate the completion of the refurbishment of our bell and bell tower and the restoration of our ancient church boundary walls. All this could not have been achieved without the support of our community.

We also acknowledge the major contribution made by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

How wonderful to see the church full of all those who have contributed in so many ways towards our fundraising for the wonderful concert on the Friday evening, with Lauren Simpson providing us with an evening of timeless music featuring much loved classics alongside contemporary favourites followed by a delicious supper.

Saturday and Sunday saw many through our doors to view the excellent exhibition based on the history of our 3 NIB churches provided by the NIB community heritage group. Particular thanks to Claire Penstone-Smith, Michael Brandon Jones and Monica Riley. The weekend concluded with a service of Evening Prayer combined with our harvest festival and delicious tea and cakes.

We were delighted to welcome our Diocesan Bishop the Rt Revd Graham Usher, Bishop of Norwich who dedicated the bell and wall and again to see our church full. Donations over the weekend came to £266.10 and our harvest collection in aid of YANA in memory of Fran Baugh amounted to £241.

With most grateful thanks.
