Liverpool: Christ Church, Norris Green

During this uncertain time you can keep updated with what's going on at Christ Church by following us on Facebook - just search for Christ Church Norris Green.

Our current pattern of worship includes.....

1030am Morning Worship - for All Ages - on every week!

12noon  Living Room Church - all age gathering, which starts with drinks (from 1145am) with the 1030am congregation followed by a BYO picnic lunch

7pm LIVE - a cafe style gathering for adults and young people

Pre-Covid - Christ Church met at a Leamington Road primary school in their Art Centre - but for now, we're staying put in our buildings on Sedgemoor Road.

We try to offer a relaxed, friendly and happy atmosphere - but Covid regulations restricts what we can usually do.   Still, we are a small but growing church and all are made welcome. The congregation is genuinely all age, our youngest regular worshipper is a tiny baby and our oldest into their 90s - with a breadth in between.

Our Sunday gatherings, whether they be gathered in the Cabin, live on Zoom or streamed to You Tube are designed to help all worship God, engage with His word and grow in our relationship with Him, ready to go out into the world in love and service.

Our shared faith is central to our life together, it is our reason for being and it is our motivation for all that we seek to be and do.

We work very closely in partnership with Triple C - serving across a variety of projects including work with children and families, older people, volunteers and supporting local people through Debt Advice and Food Pantry.

Night Prayer is a a service of quietness and reflection before rest at the end of the day. It is perfect for use on Facebook - as it is at it's best..... without additions, conversation or noise. At the close all are encouraged to depart in silence; and go quietly to bed.

It's sometimes called Compline.... the word comes from the Latin meaning ‘completion’ (completorium).

So, please join us on a Thursday evening - and if you'd like to us to pray for something, then quietly pop it in the comments, the leader may pray for it as part of the service.... or those joining in can join with you quietly in prayer or in their own time.

If you want to follow the service words, we'll be using the Church of England's Night Prayer Service. The best way to follow it is using the Church of England Daily Prayer App.
