For St Matthew’s Day, Wookey Church are inviting the congregations from Henton, Coxley and Godney to come and hold a special Holy Communion service. There’ll be signing with organ music, prayers, Bible readings and a short talk. Plus, we are delighted to be welcoming Bishop Fiona (Bishop of Taunton) who is going to be worshipping with us. You’ll have a chance to meet her before and after the service.
Do you enjoy gardening and have an hour or two to spare on Monday 3rd August from 10am? If so Wookey Church would love to have your help to remove some brambles and help with other weeding in the churchyard. Wookey Church are committed to making the churchyard a good place for local wildlife. Some plants traditional viewed as ‘weeds’ are good pollinators for bees and other insects, so Malcolm and Revd Jan will give directions for weeding on the day. Please could you bring your gardening tools with you. There will be refreshments to enjoy afterwards.
Everyone is invited to come and see the Christmas Wreaths decorating Wookey Church, made by local individuals and groups. The Church is usually open between 10am and 3pm, and the wreaths will hopefully be in place between Monday 1st December and Christmas Eve.
