Meditation is a universal spiritual tradition. We find it in all the great wisdom traditions of the human family. Meditation takes us to the depths of our being, to our true self and to the pure experience of God in the ground of our being. In the early Christian monastic tradition we find the practical instructions on how to pray in what Jesus called the “inner room” and “in spirit and truth”.

Join us for meditation / silent prayer each month in Buxton's Community Room (left of Buxton's Close, Vicarage Road, Wookey, BA5 1JW). Please arrive at 2pm so that we can all be seated by 2:15pm, as there is a security lock on the door. There's a chance to enjoy a cuppa and a chat afterwards too. Many people rely on the sea for their livelihoods in different ways - food, transporting goods, tourism, keeping oceans safe, and supporting marine life. Sea Sunday is a special day for churches to remember all of these people and families who are connected with the sea, and the hazardous conditions that they face.

Come to Wookey Church for a sea focused Morning Worship. There'll be sea themed hymns, and a talk about ‘our church as a Harbour of Hope’ . We look forward to welcoming you!

Join us as people from all three parishes to come and worship together. We're rotating the services around the three churches, and this time we're in Henton Church.

Join us at this Holy Communion service, for all ages, with singing, Bible readings, prayers, and a short talk. There is space for children to play and be creative in the church, or they can join in with the service. This is a more relaxed church service than other Holy Communion services, making it great if you're exploring your faith. Everyone is welcome, and there's a chance to chat to other people after the service over coffee.
