Annual Parish Meetings

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Mary
Address
Peel Lane, Astbury Village Astbury Congleton, CW12 4RQ, United Kingdom

Every year, two meetings have to take place not later than 31 May: The first is the ANNUAL MEETING OF PARISHIONERS which is a joint meeting of all those whose names are on the church electoral roll of the parish and those who are resident in the parish. Its purpose is to elect Churchwardens
The ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING (APCM) follows for those whose names are on the church Electoral Roll. A number of reports are given including changes to the Electoral Roll, a report on PCC and parish activities together with a financial account of the past year. Among other updates may be included Church Fabric (the building), the proceedings of the Deanery Synod and the implementation of Safeguarding Policies.
Nominations for PCC and Deanery Synod Representatives are received and voted upon.
Finally, the APCM provides a platform to discuss the church's future plans and goals and an opportunity to offer feedback and input on various aspects of church life.

St Mary

St Mary's Church at Astbury invites everyone, wherever they may find themselves on their spiritual journey, to join in our Christian adventure. Together as a church family, we seek to grow more like Jesus, helping carry one-another’s burdens, sharing our talents and gifts, praying and worshipping together. We do not take ourselves too seriously and we know we are far from perfect, but we do make amazing cakes.

Whether you are a regular church-goer or you just want to dip in your toes and test the water, you are sure of a warm welcome at St Mary's.

SAFEGUARDING

St Mary's cares passionately about the safety of all her church family and visitors.  Read how we make provision for safeguarding here.
