About Us
St James Church is in the village of Burnopfield, County Durham and the parish covers both this village and nearby Dipton.
The vicar is Father Keith Freeman, who lives in the village and is also responsible for St Thomas Church, Harelaw.
Our Eucharist service is every Sunday at 11.15pm. We have a service of Morning Prayer at 10am every Thursday. This is currently being held in the church hall.
We aim to offer a warm, prayerful welcome for people of all ages.
The church is accessible for anyone with a mobility issue and we have a toilet in church which has been specifically designed to accommodate wheelchair users.
