Accessibility

We welcome people of all ages into church. There is a small area suitable for very young children and they encouraged to take part in any or all aspects of the service. Babies are especially welcome!

We are always happy to assist anyone who is sight-impaired.

There is a wheelchair available in church for anyone who requires it. There is also space for personal mobility aids.

The church is near local bus routes.

Gluten-free refreshments can be provided if required.

The church has a toilet specifically designed for wheelchair users, anyone with a mobility issue and young children, as well as being available for general use.
The church hall a toilet accessible for wheelchair users or anyone with a mobility issue.

There is limited car parking on the main road outside church.

We have large print hymn books and service sheets

Baby changing facilities are available in the accessible toilet in church. The toilet also a potty and an adaptable toilet seat for a toddler.

A defibrillator provided by the Burnopfield Partnership is sited on the wall outside the church hall next to the front door.

There is one toilet in church but is not accessible for wheelchair users. Plans for installing a toilet in church which will be suitable for anyone using a wheelchair or with mobility issues are at an advanced stage.

There is a toilet in the nearby church hall which is suitable for wheelchair users. It also has baby-changing facilities.

Both the church and the hall are on the main road through Burnopfield, therefore there is only limited parking.


Music and Worship


Groups, Courses and Activities

A coffee morning is held every Friday in the church hall, from 10.30am to 12noon. Coffee, tea and biscuits are on offer, all for voluntary contributions.

St James Mothers Union meets on the first Tuesday of the month in the church hall at 1.30pm, except for the Lent and Advent services which are held in church.

FairTrade

We accept donations for the Stanley Foodbank which can be left in church.
