St James Mothers Union

At St James we have an active branch of the Mothers Union, which is a Christian movement working with people of all faiths and none to develop communities and strengthen families throughout the world.

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month in the hall at 1.30pm.

The meetings take the form of a guest speaker, a short business session and refreshments,  concluding with the MU service.

The St James MU is a sociable group. The annual programme usually includes a summer outing, often with a faith-based theme, and a Christmas function. Members also help with regular church functions.

New members are always welcome. You do not have to be a church member to join, nor do you have to be a mother! You can come to up to three meetings without becoming a member.
