Next Sunday, May 4, we will be commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

There will be a special service in church with prayers, reflections and music to mark the end of the war in Europe on May 6, 1945. We will remember those who celebrated that day, and also remember those who were unable to do so, having paid the ultimate price.

The service will be lay-led and will follow the special service prepared by the Church of England. It starts at 11am.

Looking further ahead, we have two fund-raising events. 

The Coffee Morning in the church hall on Friday, May 16, will raise funds for Christian Aid. The Coffee Morning starts at 10.30am.

Then on Friday, May 23, there will be a concert in the church hall when money raised will go towards access improvements in church. The concert starts at 7pm and will feature popular local singers and musicians.
