We had a great turnout for our first Cafe Church in the hall, now it's back to church on May 1 when the Rev Martin Saunders will conduct the eucharist for the third Sunday of Easter. The service starts at the usual time of 11am.The week ahead will also include the regular Coffee Morning on Friday in the hall, 10.30-12noon.We continue to accept donations for the Stanley Foodbank, either in church or our local Co-op.And we are currently finalising plans for our annual meeting.
Next Sunday, April 24, we will be holding a cafe-style church service in the church hall. This will be worship accompanied by coffee and croissants, led by our lay members. The aim is to help the local community get to know more about our mission at St James, in the more relaxed setting of the hall.We hope as many people as possible will attend, and are encouraging people to bring a friend or neighbour who may not necessarily be a regular in church. The service is at 11am.
