*The Ascension Day service for our deanery is on Thursday, May 26, at All Saints Church, Lanchester, at 7pm.*Our regular coffee morning is on Friday, 10.30am to 12noon in the church hall.*We are continuing to make plans for our Platinum Jubilee afternoon tea in the church hall on June 3. This event is at capacity, those who have secured a place are asked to arrive at 2.30 for 3pm.*Collections for the Stanley Foodbank are being gratefully received in church and at our local Co-op.
We held a very successful annual church meeting this week, chaired by Archdeacon Libby Wilkinson. There was a good turnout of church members and the Archdeacon commented how this indicated an active and interested church.We are continuing to support the Stanley Foodbank and all contributions are gratefully received.Events this week:Monday, 10am: The gardening team is back! Friday, May 13, 10.30am-12noon: Coffee Morning, church hall.Looking ahead: plans have now been finalised for our Afternoon Tea in the church hall to celebrate HM the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. This takes place on Friday, June 3. Invitations have now closed as we are at capacity. We ask that those who are coming arrive at 2.30pm for 3pm. The event is scheduled to finished at 5pm.
