We're making plans to improve facilities in church for people who have mobility issues. We currently only have one toilet, in the vestry, which is difficult to reach for anyone with a mobility issue and impossible for anyone using a wheelchair. The plan is to install a new toilet at the back of church, which will be accessible for everyone. There will also be an adjoining serving area so that we can provide refreshments for more people than we can cater for in the vestry. This is a great opportunity to make our church as accessible as possible for as many people as possible. The building work, which represents a major change for the church, will be expensive. We have already received grant aid which will cover a large proportion of the cost, and other sources of funding are being explored. But we still need to raise funds to make up any potential shortfall.A number of fund-raising events are in the pipeline, including a Harvest Concert and an Indoor Car Boot Sale. We hope these events will be well supported.Any financial contributions will be gratefully received. Donations can be made in church or by contacting the church treasurer, Jennifer Francis, through this website.
The concert planned for the church hall on Friday, May 23, has been postponed due to unforeseen events.Tickets will be held for the rescheduled date when announced. If any ticket holders cannot attend the new date they will be offered a full refund.
