St Mary Magdalene, Medomsley holds baptisms on the 1st Sunday of the month. There is no charge for Christenings but donations are welcomed, especially if the baptism is outside of the usual Sunday Service.

St Ives, Leadgate holds baptisms on the 2nd Sunday

Christ Church Hamsterley holds baptisms on the 3rd Sunday

St Ebbas, Ebchester holds baptisms on the 4th Sunday

For Weddings and funerals, please contact us to book. Fees for weddings and funerals can be found on our church noticeboard but are in line with Church Of England 

We do have a Memorial Garden to the rear of the church for the burial and scattering of ashes. The churchyard  is 'closed' to burials. No grave markers are permitted without prior PCC permission.

 Mountsett Crematorium at Dipton is 10 minutes drive away. Seven Penny Meadow  burial ground  DH8 6BA is 5 minutes away on the boundary of the village.
