Proposed creation of Derwent Valley Team Ministry
As part of the Deanery Planning process and months of meeting and consultations, it has been proposed that a new 'Derwent Valley Team Ministry' be created covering the benefices of Medomsley, Ebchester, Hamsterley, Leadgate, Consett, Benfieldside and Castleside. Interested parties have until 21st June 2024 to comment. To comment- contact the Pastoral Secretary, Paul Stringer - email - [email protected] The scheme will involve the dissolution of the benefice of Medomsley, St Mary Magdalene and others in the West of Lanchester Deanery and the formation of a new multi - Benefice and establishment of a new team ministry.
