Church Services

Services are in a traditional form and give a structure for worship which has been in place for centuries in this church. The words may at times seem strange but others will be comfortingly familiar. Even if you have not been to church for many years, or not at all, your understanding is not taken for granted and guidance is given and there are clear directions.

Our services are 9am every Sunday, alternating with St Ives Church in Leadgate. Holy Communion is offered most weeks. For information on the location of the Sunday Service please see our notice board outside the church,  Facebook page or check the events section on this site.

Holy Communion

Here we remember the Last Supper and Jesus' total giving of Himself. You go forward to the Lord's table for Holy Communion or to receive a blessing.  Everyone can receive a blessing during this service, just hold the Service book or sheet and the vicar will understand.

Morning Prayer & Service of the Word

This includes songs, praise, readings, reflection prayer. Led by members of the congregation or  Readers. We have undertaken 'Wings to Worship' training.

Family Service

This is informal and led by the children and Sunday School teachers. This is a really joyful celebration and everyone has a smile on their face!

The Book of Common Worship

The services are found in the Book of Common Worship. When you enter the church you will be welcomed and given a Hymn book and the Common Worship Service Book.

Everyone is most warmly welcomed to attend our services where you will join us in worship and friendship.
