The main service of the week, and the one to come to first. The choir sings a setting, with further choral pieces in keeping with the season, and the Rector or a guest preacher gives the sermon. Junior Church runs alongside for primary school-age children, who rejoin their families for a blessing during communion. The service lasts roughly eighty minutes, ends with the singing of the Angelus, and is followed by tea, coffee and biscuits.

Choral Evensong

Occurring
Every Sunday at for 45 mins
Venue
Holy Trinity Sloane Square
Address
146 Sloane Street Chelsea, SW1X 9BZ, United Kingdom

Evensong is sung in the language of the Book of Common Prayer, much as it has been sung in English parish churches since the Prayer Book was written. Some Sundays it is led by our own musicians, others by a visiting choir. It asks nothing of you. There is no sermon, and no collection plate. You can sit and listen. About forty-five minutes, and all are welcome. Evensong pauses over the summer and returns at the start of September.

Songs and Soup is an informal community choir that meets in the Parish Room every Tuesday at 1pm. The sessions last 45 minutes and are free, with a break over the summer holidays. There is no audition and no requirement to read music. The repertoire is show tunes, folk songs, pop songs and hymns. A bowl of soup follows the singing. The group is for people of all ages and abilities, and has been particularly welcomed by retired people, people living with memory difficulties, carers, and people on their lunch break. Songs and Soup was co-founded by Max Barley, Director of Music at Holy Trinity. He received the Chelsea Awards 2023 Community Hero prize for the work.

A simpler service in the middle of the week, said rather than sung, in the Lady Chapel at the east end of the south aisle. Small and quiet, and it does not last long. A good place to come if a full Sunday service feels like too much to begin with.
