Opening
The church is generally open to the public only for regular church services and events (see "Services and events" tab). If you would like to make arrangements to visit the church for any reason at another time please click on the "Get in touch" tab and leave a telephone voicemail message on the number given or use the form to send an email message. Someone will get in touch with you as soon as possible afterwards.
Getting here
St John's church is near the Jingling Gate Public House, further along Stamfordham Road in a westerly direction and alongside the churchyard.
The most convenient bus routes are via the Nos. 62 and 71 which run from Blackett Street and Gallowgate in central Newcastle. Get off at the far end of Greenway, which goes left from Hillhead Road through Chapel Park Estate. Turn right at the T-junction, along North Walbottle Road, and you will find the church a few hundred yards further on.
The church has its own car park at the eastern end, on the corner with Stamfordham Road. You may also find parking spaces on the minor no-through road off Stamfordham Road, between the church and the churchyard.
