St Mary the Virgin, Westerham

Welcome to St Mary's Church, located in the centre of Westerham in Kent.  We're here for the whole community, and absolutely everyone is very welcome to come to one of our services, even if you've never been to church before.

We are not perfect, but we invite you to join with us as we discover more about the love of God and learn how we can reflect that love to each other. To find out more, please contact our Parish Office on 01959 561330 or [email protected]

The church is open for visitors and personal prayer from 9am each day.

Safeguarding

The parish of Westerham: St Mary the Virgin is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Rochester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Messy Church is an informal All Age service and a time of creativity, fun and celebration!

On the second Sunday of the month (except August) we meet as 'Messy church' from 3.00pm until 5.00pm. Craft and other activities are set up by the Messy Church team all over the main church building. The activities are suitable for children from the age of 0 to 11, but this is a multi-generational service and all are welcome!

We have lots of fun including with a short time of worship with songs, a Bible story and prayers. We conclude with a party tea together (free; donations welcome). Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult.

To sign up to our Messy Church newsletter to get details of themes and planned activities for Messy Church each month, please click 'More about this event' below.
