Thanks to The Westerham Society, Westerham Hall and the Town Council, the Benefice will be showing The People's Emergency Briefing on 16th October at Westerham Hall. Doors open at 7.15 for an 8.00 showing of the 50 minute documentary, with a discussion afterwards encouraging us all about what we can do next. This summer's weather events here and abroad have raised the awareness that climate change is with us, and needs tackling as a matter of urgency. It is not longer something to worry about for the future. This film, which is showing in communities up and down the country, will help us to focus our thoughts on what can be done to improve our resilience and turn the tide in the years ahead. In particular, we are building support across the country for a televised government briefing to the nation. Locally, we hope to create an environmental group for Westerham and Crockham Hill that brings together everybody with an interest in climate, wildlife and protecting the natural world. The Hall is likely to fill up so come early to avoid disappointment.
