Come and pray quietly in the church.

Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. for 1hr

St. Mary the Virgin Church
The Green
WESTERHAM
Kent TN16 1AS

The church building is open for individual private prayer in the Katherine Chapel on Wednesdays from 11am to midday; come and go as you wish during this time.

As you will understand this opportunity needs to be offered in a controlled manner. To enable 'social distancing' the chairs will be set out 2m apart, please do not move them, they will be cleaned after you leave. There will be stewards on duty; you are not required to give your name or contact details but you may be asked to wait if there are more than 6 people in the Chapel as this is the capacity we can support. You are not required to wear a face covering unless you choose to do so, but you will be asked to use the hand gel as you arrive and leave. Please bring your own Bible or any other aids to prayer that you find helpful.

Government advice is that you should not be leaving your home if you have a new, continuous cough or a high temperature or loss of or change to sense of smell or taste. This is to minimise risk of spread of COVID-19 to friends, the wider community, and particularly the vulnerable. Individuals who are shielding should continue to follow the government’s advice on shielding.

Please note that this is for private prayer only; we are unable to grant access for other visitors; access is restricted to the Katherine Chapel to make cleaning easier for our volunteers. We are unable to offer access to refreshments or toilet facilities.

We do invite you to come and prayer, but please note that at them moment there are still no worship services being held at the church.
