Reverend Robb welcomed Dean John as celebrant and preacher, to the joint celebration of St John’s Patronal Festival with St Leonard’s Church. Robb went on to say that this will be the first of what he hopes will continue to be joint celebrations of our churches’ Patronal Festivals each year, with the services being followed by a bring and share meal.

He said Dean John would be joining us as guest at our “Bring your own Picnic” to be held in the Vicarage Garden after the service. He recommended everyone to wrap up warm as the weather was forecast to be cooler than recently. The tables and chairs were already set out on the front lawn.

Over 25 people attended and despite the forecast it was not at all cold and the sun even came out. We all enjoyed our respective picnics and relaxing with friends. The children enjoyed playing with “Jess” the Welsh collie belonging to Robb and Lindy. It was a really special day. Our thanks go to Robb and Lindy for sharing their garden.
