Village and School

Visitors and residents will find in Bishop Monkton a vibrant, active community. Clubs and societies for all ages and interests abound, together with annual village events and sporting fixtures - often centering around the modern and spacious village hall. Along with St. John the Baptist, the Church of England church, there is also a Methodist church in the village, an excellent primary school and two village pubs. Worship has taken place in our picturesque village probably for more than a millennium and both village and church life are lively and flourishing.
