St James' Church, Barton under Needwood welcomes you to join us for our weekly services. Our Sunday Services are held at 10:30am each Sunday. St James' holds a range of worship styles across the month:
1st Sunday 10:30am Holy Communion
Following the Common Worship Holy Communion Service
2nd Sunday 10:30am Second Sunday Service
A mix of modern and traditional music led by the Worship Group. The service will often have
creative elements and interactive moments
3rd Sunday 08:00am Holy Communion
Following in Book of Common Prayer Eucharist
10:30am Lay Led Service
Worship is led by our Lay Reader or members of the Lay team
4th Sunday 10:30am Sung Eucharist
Elements of the Eucharist are sung, with the service having a more traditional feel
18:00pm Prayer and Praise
A contemporary service, with modern worship music, interaction and creativeness.
St James' Barton also hold the following services during the week:
Wednesday 10:00am WOW Wednesday
An informal worship section of our popular WoW group. This service is around 10 minutes long
and very interactive - it is aimed intergenerationally. Please note that there is NO communion
at this service.

3rd Fridays 11:00am EDEN - Dementia Friendly Service
EDEN is a service aimed at those who struggle with Dementia, Alzheimer's and other associated
illnesses and those who care for them. The EDEN service starts with social time (from 10:00am)
and includes the chance to meet people and share experiences over refreshments in the safe
surroundings of St James'. The service section lasts approx 15-20 minutes and includes
Communion led by the Vicar.
