St. James Barton
After three months in hibernation Rev Andy Simpson can finally emerge into the light of outdoor meetings and services in church! How exciting is that? All three churches in the benefice will have services on Easter Sunday for the first time since last year. There will be a service of holy communion each week at 10.30 am. The service will be kept short and we will take care to carefully apply social distancing regulations to seating and meeting. Unfortunately, there can be no congregational singing until it has been approved. However Rev andy or a member of the congregation will treat everyone to a solo until we can all sing again.
A service will be made available on Facebook and YouTube for those unable to come to church. This will be converted to DVD for the non internet using parishioners. Contact us if you know anyone who might like to be included in this service. Our Facebook page will have details of services.
"The parish of Barton-under-Needwood is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
