We are a lively and enthusiastic Christian community serving the village through services at the church and activities at our soon to be re-developed Church Room, which we are very excited about!
We are part of the four parishes of the Benifice of North Blackwater, and so Sunday services are shared with the other churches: St Nicholas' Tolleshunt D'Arcy, St Mary the Virgin Tollesbury and St Mary the Virgin Salcott-cum-Virley.
St Nicholas' Church is a beautiful Grade I Listed building that stands isolated but accessible, and boasting wonderful views of the Blackwater Estuary, on top of a slight hill to the east of the village. It is a 12th century buildinhg with 15th and 16th century alterations and additions including a red Tudor birck tower built by Sir Stephen Becking ham.
