During April, May and June the donations from the Four C's - Coffee, Cake, Company and Chat - held on a Saturday morning and Tea at the Tower, held on the first Sunday of the month have raised the amazing sum of £921.08 for Christian Aid.We would like to say "thank you" to everyone who has given so generously to Christian Aid. St. Helen's Church is open every Saturday morning between 10.00am and 12 noon for Coffee, Cake, Company and a Chat. There is no charge for the refreshments but donations are collected for the charity of the season and Tea at the Tower is held on the first Sunday of the month during July, August and September. The donations collected during the next three months are for "Tiny Steps" a local charity raising money to open a Sensory Centre and Social Cafe for children and Young people with additional needs and their families.
On Sunday 30th March the Hale Light Orchestra visited St. Helen's Church for a concert entitled "The Rhythms of Spain", a toe-tapping selection of exciting light orchestral music from Spain, Brazil and other countries. During the concert the audience were treated to soloist perfromances by Cameron Murray and Olivia Horan.The music was enjoyed by everyone who attended.
