On Sunday 30th March the Hale Light Orchestra visited St. Helen's Church for a concert entitled "The Rhythms of Spain", a toe-tapping selection of exciting light orchestral music from Spain, Brazil and other countries. During the concert the audience were treated to soloist perfromances by Cameron Murray and Olivia Horan.The music was enjoyed by everyone who attended.
St Helen’s were delighted to host Vale Royal Schools Concert Band and North Cheshire Wind Orchestra for their spring concert.A few days later Vale Royal Schools Ensembles, including the concert band, returned for their end of term concert after being let down at very short notice by a previous venue.St Helen’s was a fitting venue for such talented local musicians of all ages. Come again soon.
On Thursday 19th December over 60 people sat down to a free Christmas Celebration Lunch in St. Helen's Church. Volunteers run a Place of Welcome with a free lunch of homemade soup and bread every Thursday. The Christmas Celebration Lunch was enjoyed by all. Christmas Jumpers were worn and Christmas Crackers were pulled. The venue sparkled with many Christmas tree lights. Everyone had a good time. Thank you to all those who volunteered by making soup and welcoming guests.The Place of Welcome Lunches will start again on Thursday 2nd January 2025. The lunch is free and anyone is welcome.
