This is a group for parents or carers and pre-school age children, held in the Parish Room at St Mary's Church. Parents/carers can enjoy a chat and a cup of tea or coffee, while the children play. There will be playtime, singing, crafts and story-time for the children. This is during term-time only.

EVERY WEEK DURING TERM TIME

For children up to 11 years old. Join us at 9.30am in the St Michael’s Room, during the morning service, to learn about God and Jesus with stories and activities and then rejoin everybody in church during communion.

Usually held on the second and third Sundays of the month but please check the dates, as these may vary.

A weekly gathering to celebrate Communion with one another, where the wine is intincted onto the bread. We pass the peace through British Sign Language. All are welcome to come and receive at the Lord's Table.

Activities for all ages, adults and children, to enjoy our outside space, relating to the season. Dress appropriately for the weather. All children must have adult supervision.

No need to book, just come along!

22nd October, 26th November, (Not December 2023)

We are a fun and inclusive group and we share poems we enjoy by a wide range of poets, from Pam Ayers to Shakespeare. We source poems from wherever we come across them and then read them to the group. Discussion of the poem often broadens to include chatting about the life and times of the poet and what we like or dislike about their work. Please come and join us. October 27th, November 24th

Come and Join us at St Mary's Church North Mymms on Saturday 28th October 2023 2pm - 4pm to chase away the darkness of winter with Angels and Light. This will be a fun -filled afternoon with activities including decorating biscuits, making and painting wooden Angel tea light holders, mask scraping and lots of activities, Plus an outdoor BBQ with hot dogs and fun. A service for the commemoration of the faithfully departed, at which there is an opportunity to remember our loved ones, particularly those who have died recently.

If you would like your loved ones name(s) mentioned in the service please speak to one of the wardens or church staff on the day of the service or email [email protected] or write their name(s) in the book which will be available in church on Sunday 14th October.

We shall include automatically on that list those who have died within the last year and who were connected with St Mary’s Parish.

ALL are welcome to a short service which is less formal in its approach and which is suited for not just families, not just children, but for everyone to feel comfortable and to worship together.

We have time to sing, share a Bible story or theme, pray and listen to the Lord, then stay to share coffee and cakes afterwards.

5th November, 3rd December 2023

Evensong is a service which is held at many cathedrals and churches that provides a restful, peaceful and contemplative time (about 30 to 45 minutes) at the even point of the day, between the end of the working day and night-time. It is for that reason Evensong is the perfect opportunity to relax after a busy day.

Following the Book of Common Prayer, this short service with the Eucharist is a lovely and quiet start to Sundays and the month. We will hold this service on the first Sunday each month at 8am. All are welcome.
