Mondays at 12:30 pm Lent course and lunch hosted at St Giles
Lent Course at St Giles-on-the-Hill. A simple lunch will be served at 12.30 pm, with the course itself beginning at 1:00 pm. The themes of the course will be God, Peace, Forgiveness, Silence, and Hope. During Lent we are all encouraged to increase our awareness of God's presence through Christ; this is a fantastic opportunity to deepen our faith and strengthen our fellowship. Please feel free to bring along a friend!

This year we are having a tri-community benefice service on Palm Sunday. It will be at St Giles.

The service begins at 10 a.m.
(NB note earlier start).

The service starts with an outdoor procession. Those not able to join the procession should arrive in Church by about 10:15.

Solemn Eucharist of the Last Supper with washing of feet. The service ends (and you are free to go) at around 8 pm. However there will be a procession with the Blessed Sacrament to St Giles on the Hill where it will be placed in the garden of repose, and we shall maintain the watch at the Altar of Repose in St Giles from 8.45 pm until midnight.

Good Friday Liturgy with solemn reading of the passion and veneration of the cross, and communion.

9:00 pm The Burial of the Lord, solemn candlelight service at St George Tombland

A short Easter Vigil service with Blessing of Easter Fire at St George Colegate

Sung Eucharist for Easter Day

NB bring your chocolate eggs or coloured hard boiled eggs for the egg rolling ceremony in the garden
