Nativity Service with donkey rides

for 1 hour
St John's Church, Farsley
New Street Old Road Farsley Pudsey, LS28 5DJ, United Kingdom

It's our all-age nativity service, where we will be joined by a real donkey as we get everyone involved in telling the story of the first Christmas. You are all invited to dress up as any person (or animal!) from the Christmas story. We're hoping even the grown-ups will get involved in the dressing up too, whether that's a full costume or a Christmas jumper! Embrace the magic and chaos if this brilliant service!

St John's Church, Farsley

At St John's Church we are a diverse, faithful and enthusiastic group of worshippers, committed to caring for the spiritual, pastoral and social growth of our people, with a strong presence and connection in our community.

You will find our church just four miles from the centre of Leeds in the village of Farsley, close to the suburb of Pudsey.

We offer a caring and nurturing environment for all to get to grow in the love of Jesus and we are proud of the inclusive welcome we give to all people, whatever their age, gender, ethnic or social background, or family circumstances.

As we share the good news of Christ by spreading the story of his love and being good disciples to those around us, this is your invitation to join us on that journey as we reach further into our community and serve those in our neighbourhood.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Farsley: St John the Evangelist is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO), Helen Whitaker. Our Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact Helen Whitaker on 07961 619897 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advising Team on 0113 353 0257 or 07872 005189. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
