About Us

Services

We have both traditional and modern anglo-catholic worship. Choral Mass every Sunday, with incense. Two weekday Low Masses. Multimedia family Mass Saturday evenings and Celtic Evening prayer with Exposition and Benediction on Sunday Evenings.  (Covid-19 update -  the service in church is the 10am Sunday Mass, the Multimedia service has moved online).

Accessibility

We have recently upgraded our facilities with a new entrance with level access on Stanhope Street through the gate in the railings between the church and 120 Stanhope Street leading to the cloister door. This has level wheelchair access and a wide door. Our main church and chapels are accessible, but our chancel has steps. Disables toilets bare also available. We have an induction loop; to receive sound from it, switch your hearing aid to the ‘T’ position. for more details see our accessibility page and for a plan of the church showing level access and wheelchair accessible toilets use this link .

Community

We work with our local community: we have strong connections with Ark St Alban’s Academy where our vicar is chaplain; we support Stanhope Wellbeing Hub; and administer the Highgate United Food Bank.

Building

Our building is Victorian Gothic 1881 by John Loughborough Pearson II* listed.

The ceiling is Stone vaulted and contributes to our excellent acoustics as well as its visual impact as you enter our church.

Integral hall for meetings and social functions, kitchen, and all toilet facilities.

Music

We have extremely good acoustics and an excellent fully maintained three manual organ. We have a small choir at our 10am Mass.
