At Christ Church we believe that children and young people are not only the Church of tomorrow they are the Church of today!  We have a number of ministries for our Children and Young People:

Junior Church: for children aged 3 upwards is held on the 3rd Sunday of the Month during our 09:15 Sung Mass. We go into the church hall at the beginning of the service and have a lot of fun learning about God and faith, before rejoining the congregation at communion time. Parents are always welcome to join us whilst younger children settle in.

Children's Corner: is at the back of the church, where we have books and toys to keep little ones entertained.

Messy Church: Once a term we have Messy Church, which is intended for children and young families. It's church where you don't do much sitting down! We make things, sing songs, have games and activities and always finish with food. Keep an eye out on our website and socials for more details of upcoming Messy Church events.

Altar Serving: Children from the age of 6 upwards are welcome and encouraged to join our Altar Serving team. Altar serving is a wonderful way for children to take an active part in worship, grow in confidence, learn more about the life of the Church, and serve God alongside others. Full training is given, and children are supported carefully as they learn. No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to take part and be part of the team. If your child might be interested in becoming an altar server, please speak to Fr Jake after a service or via email.
