About Us
St George the Martyr is one of the ancient parishes of Southwark. Today it stands in the midst of an area that is undergoing exciting regeneration. In 2005 a major restoration project was undertaken to put the structure back on secure foundations, and enable the church to takes its full place in the renewal of the area - as a centre for worship and meeting, for music and local history. Today, we meet to worship God in the modern catholic tradition, and to serve our community mainly through fighting food poverty. We are an inclusive church.
