Give to Go Green is a Church of England scheme by which parishes are encouraged to take actions to reduce their carbon footprint. Funds raised, up to an agreed target, are doubled during a six-week campaign.  We exceeded our target, and the final total was £7189, which will be increased by Gift Aid.

The fundraising has now finished, but the intention is to install infra-red heaters into the north transept, so it can be used for smaller meetings without needing to heat the whole church. We have also had work done on our gas boilers to make them more efficient.  

It has taken a long time to get the PCC's plan for what is needed in the transept agreed by the diocese, but we have now heard informally that there will be progress shortly.  We hope to feel the benefit during the current winter season.
