The annual Church Fete raises funds for the village Church. Events start at 1pm Saturday with the Fete proper. On Sunday at the Ford the Duck Race starts at 12:30 (get your duck in advance or at the fete) followed by the tug of war across the ford. Bring cash for fun and refreshments and bring a picnic. Enjoy!

Harvest Festival

Join us for the Harvest festival on Sunday 6th October. The service will start at 6:00pm – followed by Harvest Supper in the Village Hall.

Everyone is welcome to attend!!

During the service, there will be an opportunity to bring food items as harvest gifts, they will be donated to the local Food Bank.

After the service there will be a bring and share Harvest Supper in the village hall, see separate entry for more information, including how to RSVP.

If you'd like to help decorate the church and/or the hall with your home grown fruit and vegetables come earlier in the day, the church will be open as usual and the village hall will be open too. (Few fruit and veg can be passed on elsewhere, so be prepared to take them home afterwards).
In the service, there will be an opportunity to bring non-perishable food items as harvest gifts. They will be donated to the local Food Bank.

As usual, the supper is a "bring and share" meal. Drop me an email to let me know what you would like to bring or to ask what we need.

Help setting up or clearing away is always welcomed! Anyone who has flowers or garden produce to decorate the Village Hall, please drop me a note as well.

Remembrance Day

The church will hold a special service today, everyone is welcome. After the service we will walk to the Memorial cross for a service of Remembrance with the 2 minute silence at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, (see the next event for more detail). Families and children are welcome.

Remembrance Day

We will mark Remembrance Day, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, when WWI ended in 1945. We will mark this with a brief service including the 2 minute silence at the War Memorial. Gather at 10:50 to be ready beforehand.
(A special service in the church will preceed this event, see separate entry for more details).
Following the event, coffee will be available in the Village Hall, which will have a display of photographs and memorabilia.
The Church Bells will ring during the service before this event (see separate entry) and, together with many teams across the country, at 12.30pm and lastly at 7.05pm to mark the lighting of beacons across the country.
