We hope you will see that children and families are at the heart of our thinking at Trinity Church.
We encourage families with younger children (up to 11 years) to attend Sunday Club - Sunday Morning at 10am in Church Hall, also the All-in Family Service (1st Sunday in the month in Church). We also hold Trinity Families, once a month which include fun church activity for all the family, with games, refreshments, crafts, singing and plenty more for adults and children organised by Ken Gaskell for more information contact - [email protected] or Revd Andrew Griffin - andrew,[email protected]
We have regular weekly groups (term time only) for parents/carers and babies and tots each Tuesday (Trinity Babies) and Thursday (Trinity Tots). These are both very relaxed, with small charges, and provide a relaxed and warm welcome and great social opportunity.
> Trinity Childcare is an initiative of Ossett and Gawthorpe PCC which is registered as a Charity. We operate exclusively within the town of Ossett & Gawthorpe and have been successfully providing childcare since 1990. We cater for children aged between four and eleven years who attend Holy Trinity School in our before & after school club and our Holiday Club which is open to all children, has been providing a service for the local community since 2009.> We have a very special, and close link with Holy Trinity School - our vicar is an ex-officio governor, along with four foundation governors. We are frequently in the school holding Collective Worship on a weekly basis or hosting school visits and services at Trinity. We are thrilled to have supported the school in developing its link with a partner school in Tanzania.
> We also have close working relationships with other schools in the parish, including Flushdyke and Gawthorpe Community Academy. Our relationship with Gawthorpe has the added dimension of links around the traditions of the Maypole weekend, and a special service is held each May at which the maypole plaiters from Gawthorpe Community Academy always sing.> A dedicated safeguarding team meets frequently to review our provision.
> We continue to develop strong links with the new 50th Wakefield (North Ossett) Scout group based out of Holy Trinity School.
