A First Visit - what to expect

Why not come along to one of our regular 10am services; at it's heart will be Holy Communion.  You may like to think about what happens before you come by looking here.

> You will receive a warm welcome at the door, and be offered a sheet explaining the order of the church service; there is a separate sheet with bible readings and prayers.  Together these help you work your way through the service.  You will find examples of some of the words and prayers used here.

> At the heart of our services is 'worship' - which includes prayer, music, bible readings, talks (sermons) - there is a lot to take in.  But you may like simply to sit and listen, to observe, to think, the first time you come.

> There are facilities like toilets, tea & coffee (after the service), bags of books/toys for younger children.

> Children of all ages are welcomed in our services - there is almost always an age-appropriate group activity in the Trinity Centre next door - leaders and helpers (many parents themselves) are fully DBS checked and trained and put a lot of effort into shaping a positive experience for the youngest children (2 years) up to the oldest (11 years).

> The services which start at 10am are usually finished by around 11.15am, but someone is always still there until nearer to 12pm.  The church is open from around 9.30am, if you arrive early.  It's quite relaxed.

> We often find that the ministers and other members are asked to pray for a specific need or situation after the service.  Please ask if you need this.

> We hope that you will be blessed, you will in some way, however small, encounter Jesus Christ.  We want most of all to help you believe.
