This Sunday morning 17 October at 10:30am, slightly later than planned due to contractors’ activity in church, we are holding a 'Harvest Thanksgiving Songs of Praise' where we look forward to singing our much loved harvest hymns for the first time in two years! The service will consist of notices, an important announcement, the harvest thanksgiving, our favourite and much-loved harvest hymns, a harvest collect and bible reading, a beautiful harvest poem, prayers and a closing blessing. Please join with us as we come together to give thanks. We look forward, with Hope, to 2022's Harvest Festival Celebrations and the Harvest Supper in fullness. As we come together this weekend and next, may I encourage you, if you are able, to bring an item to give to those in greater need than ourselves which will be passed on through the local foodbanks. An update on items needed can be found here at: http://mkfoodbank.org.uk/.../help-the-food-bank/give-food/ although all suitable items are always greatly appreciated. Hello everyone,Beds and Herts Historic Churches Trust Annual Bike 'n Hike day is coming up on Saturday 11th September 9am - 5pm. This year, David Shaw and Stacey and I are taking the opportunity to pilot our first Covid-Secure Café Church, Bike 'n Hike style! Our first Café Church in two years! The Church will be open for the whole day between 9am and 5pm and our popular Bike 'n Hike Café Church is returning for its first time in two years in Covid-secure style! Refreshments - Tea, Coffee, Cakes and Treats will be available between 10am and 4pm. It is the perfect occasion for us to pilot the return of our seasonal Café Church openings because of visitors across a long period on the bike 'n hike day. This will also enable us to explore and consider the practicalities on how we "might" bring back to life other events in church going forward. Please consider sponsoring us generously as we commit a whole day [and more in preparation!] to this. In raising funds via the Bike 'n Hike which benefits all churches we recieve half of the funds raised in our campaign, so please help us if you are able. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/the-refreshments-team-at-st-peters-milton-bryanYou are also invited to pop along say hello, have a catch up with whoever you might meet and enjoy some refreshments. Cafe Church is run on a donation basis. Looking forward to seeing you!Kelvin & Stacey White and David Shaw.
