Community Events

The parish runs a host of events for the wider community. We have many parish groups some of which are detailed below. We also host concerts for the community.

Meditation Group

This meets on the second Saturday of the month at 10am. For more information please contact the vicar.  The Meditation group is currently paused during the vacancy.

Tea@3

Tea@3 is a monthly afternoon tea with a quiz, on the second Thursday of the month at 3pm in the church hall. All are welcome.

Social Events

The church constantly organises social events - some are pure fun, some are traditional, and some are totally unique!  All normally include food and fun (and quite often a Raffle!). All are welcome to any of the events.

Choir

Choir practices in church on Wednesday at 6pm with our trainer/organist Valerie Robertson and sings at our 10.00am Parish Eucharist.

Home Groups

Home Groups are run bi-weekly at various times in peoples' homes. They give us the opportunity to meet with other Christians to build friendships, to share, to pray, and to study the Bible. An average meeting lasts for about two hours. Study themes are chosen by the group.

Churches Together in West Moors

We cooperate with our friends in the other churches in West Moors. The vision of Churches Together is:

‘Churches Together in West Moors’ is committed to our partnership in the Gospel as church leaders and representatives.

We seek to be a place of compassion where the well-being of church leaders and representatives is encouraged through mutual support.

We seek to be a place of mission where we work together as colleagues to further the good news of Jesus Christ in West Moors.

We seek to be a place of joy where we look for opportunities to reach out and witness together, through the sharing of Christ’s love with our community.

We meet on a regular basis to share matters of common concern. Together we organise the Carols on the Petwyn and other community events and worship.
