Church of England Diocese of Blackburn Ashton-on-Ribble, St. Michael and All Angels with Preston St. Mark

Baptism (also known as Christening)

Celebrating a new member of your and the Church's family is a time of rejoicing and great celebration.  At St. Michael's we are delighted to welcome you for the rite of baptism.  You can be any age to be baptised, from a babe in arms to a senior citizen!  It's a great way of saying 'thank-you' to God and for being 'born again' in a spiritual sense.

Our baptism services can either be part of our normal Sunday worship or a separate service at midday or 2.00 p.m.  Only very occasionally, and in exceptional circumstances, are baptism services held on other days or times.

Outside of Sunday worship the service lasts approximately 30 minutes.  There is no fixed fee although a donation to help cover costs is always most gratefully received.
