During next Sunday's service for All Saints Day there will be the opportunity to light a candle in remembrance of loved ones who have been recently lost. The service starts at 11am and will be conducted by the Rev Andrea Dart.As Advent approaches we are counting down to our Table Top Sale on November 19, which replaces our usual Christmas fair.There will be a variety of stalls plus a chocolate tombola and refreshments.We've also finalised our Christmas services, which are detailed on the separate page shown in the main list opposite.
A quiet week, starting with the gardening and maintenance team on Monday morning and our usual Friday Coffee Morning in the hall.We are continuing to make plans for our pre-Christmas Table Top Sale on November 19, which will have a variety of stalls plus a raffle and Tombola.We are also finalising our plans for Christmas, so watch this space for more information!
Lots going on this week, including:Monday, 10.30: gardening and maintenance team at the church.Tuesday, 2pm: Prize bingo in the hallWednesday, 10.30am: Have-a-go session for the over 55s in the hall, come along and have a laugh!Friday, 10.30-12noon: Coffee morning in the hall. This is also classed as a 'warm space' for anyone who wants to come along.Looking ahead:November 19: Table Top Sale in the hall. This will replace the Christmas Fair and should hopefully be a good money-spinner.Breaking News:Our Race Night raised £334 for church funds and donations made at the Harvest Lunch amounted to £178 for the Pakistan appeal. Well done everyone!
Today we celebrated our Harvest Festival Service, with prayers and hymns to note this special time of year. There was a splendid display of donated foodstuffs, which will be taken to our local food bank. Many thanks to everyone who contributed.Thanks are also due to everyone who made Saturday's Race Night a success, helping to raise over £300 for church funds.This week we have our usual gardening maintenance team on Monday, the Mothers Union on Tuesday at 1.30pm, Morning Worship on Thursday at 9.45am and coffee morning in the hall on Friday, 10.30-12noon. We are also taking this opportunity to promote the coffee morning as a 'warm space' during the winter months.
