Hatfield Broad Oak: St Mary the Virgin

Following the licensing service held at St Mary's on 23rd July 2020, we are pleased to welcome Rev Dawn Jewson as Priest in Charge of Hatfield Broad Oak and Bush End, and Rev Canon David Herrick as Associate Priest in Charge of Hatfield Broad Oak and Bush End.

At the same service, Rev Dawn was also appointed Associate Priest of Great and Little Hallingbury (currently Rev David's churches) and Rev David was appointed Associate Priest of Hatfield Heath and Sheering (Rev Dawn's churches). These appointments forge even closer links between our 'Six Villages' and we look forward to what God has in store for us all.

On months where we have a fifth Sunday, we join together with the other churches in our 'Six Villages' unit for a Communion Service followed by refreshments. This service rotates round the six churches so keep an eye on our calendar for the next one.

Rest assured you will always be welcome. After every service (in normal time) there is always the opportunity for refreshment and a chat.

Across congregations are people of every age from babes in arms to 90+, so do come and join us: there'll be someone else just like you on the lookout for God!

May God bless you and keep you and your loved ones safe.

Our churchwardens are Mr Mark Haddon and Mrs Liz Webber; our Verger is Mrs Edna Halls and our PCC Secretary is Mrs Kerry Stedman.

Where there is a fifth Sunday in the month, we join together with the other Churches in our Six Villages Ministry and Mission Unit, for a Communion Service (and very often a 'bring and share lunch').
The service could be held here at St Mary's, at Bush End, Hatfield Heath, Sheering, Little Hallingbury or Great Hallingbury. Please check with us for location and times.
We hope you can join us at one of these very enjoyable gatherings of joint service, prayer (and food!).
