St Faith & St Laurence Harborne
(Page updated 14/09/2020)
We are delighted to announce that we have now re-opened for public worship. The new regulations on social gatherings and the Birmingham local lockdown rules do not apply to places of worship at the moment so we will continue with public worship and private prayer.
Things will be very different due to the need to keep everything as COVID secure as possible. You will need to book a seat and social distancing and face-coverings (unless you are medically exempt) will be required. You can book a place by texting or calling our booking line on 07942221573. Despite the restrictions and procedures, we very much hope that this will be an opportunity to meet with God and to worship together as we do so.
More details can be found on the "Re-opening for Public Worship" page. Keep an eye on this page as information will be updated there.
In the meantime, please do look at the "This week at worship" and "Resources for worship" pages for videos, services and prayers - all ways to hold ourselves and the world before God. Please note that these resources will continue to be available after the church itself has re-opened.
We are also active with coffee mornings, Bible Studies and the like all taking place online. Details in the "Services and events" section of the website.
CHURCH OPEN FOR PRIVATE PRAYER
Following the re-opening for worship, from Wednesday 16 September the church will be open for private prayer on Wednesdays between 1- 3 pm.
Please do come in. There are measures to promote safety and social distancing, so do please take note of the stewards who are there to assist.
Contact the Vicar Rev'd Canon Priscilla White or 07896 935798 if you want to join us on Zoom or WhatsApp, need to talk, want prayer over the phone, or for any other reason.
We are a friendly church set in the suburbs of Birmingham. We have a range of services set mostly within the middle tradition of the Church of England. We welcome everyone to share in our worship. Please make yourself known to one of the Ministry Team so we can get to know you better.
The parish of Harborne: St Faith & St Laurence is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Birmingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
For further information on safeguarding please see our Safeguarding page.
