Church of England Diocese of Birmingham St. Faith and St. Laurence, Harborne

St Faith & St Laurence Harborne

Currently, all public services and activities are suspended until further notice due to COVID-19. This is on the advice of the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact.

Look at the "This week at worship" and "Resources for worship" pages for videos, services and prayers  - all ways to hold ourselves and the world before God.

The church is no longer open during the day for private prayer. The latest government guidelines call us to be really responsible and by staying home to protect not only ourselves, but others.

Please do use the resources we are publishing on the website for prayer and worship.

We continue as a worshipping community and wish to keep in touch. There will be regularly updated worship suggestions and links on the website. We also have three WhatsApp groups with words of encouragement and prayers as well as social chat and pictures of cute pets and animals!! Contact Priscilla on 07896 935798 if you would like to join.

Contact the Vicar Rev'd Canon Priscilla White on [email protected] or  07896935798 if you need to talk, want prayer over the phone, or for any other reason

About Us

We are a friendly church set in the suburbs of Birmingham. We have a range of services set mostly within the middle tradition of the Church of England. We welcome everyone to share in our worship. Please make yourself known to one of the Ministry Team so we can get to know you better.

We are members of Inclusive Church and gladly assent to their statement of value.

We believe in inclusive Church - church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.

Safeguarding

The parish of Harborne: St Faith & St Laurence is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Birmingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
