We have re-opened the Church for Public Worship and for Private Prayer.
We have taken a relatively cautious approach and continue to do so. The fact we are reopening does not mean that we wish anyone to feel they must attend and we urge everyone, especially those who are clinically vulnerable, to take heed of any advice given. We are not wanting to make anyone's decisions for them.
Our service pattern
8am Communion 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month
10am Communion 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays
10am Morning Worship 2nd and 4th Sundays
4pm Zoom service please email for details
6.30pm Evensong (said) 1st 3rd and 5th Sundays
We continue to keep as COVID secure as possible. You will need to book a seat (or seats). You will be asked for contact details for Test and Trace. Hand sanitising on entry to the Church or Hall and face-covering will be required (unless you are medically exempt). You will need to sit where directed in order to enable social distancing. There will not be congregational singing but there will be some live music at the 10am service. Please do not attend if you have any COVID 19 symptoms.
Despite the restrictions and procedures, we very much hope that this will be an opportunity to meet with God and to worship together as we do so.
The church will be open for private prayer on most Wednesdays between 1 and 3pm .
What form is the worship be?
See the service pattern above.
How do I book a seat?
Seats will need to be booked via the new booking system. Please contact the bookings number 07942 221573 by text (the preferred option) or leave a message between 9am Monday and 12 noon Friday in the week before the service you wish to attend. Please provide your full name and phone number, state which service you want to attend and the number of seats required. You can expect that if you do not hear anything, you have a space.
What if I don't want to come physically to church?
We continue to offer other types of worship for those who are not ready for face to face worship in Church.
The 10am service is livestreamed on our Facebook page.
There is an afternoon Zoom service at 4pm. See the Services and Events for further details.
Video worship on the website will continue to be posted for Sundays.
The order of service is also emailed out to people on a Saturday. Email if you would like to be added to the list.
Hard copies of more generic services are posted every couple of months to those who cannot access the internet.
What procedures are in place for our safety?
Procedures have been put in place, following government and church guidance, for all our safety.
