If anyone who is not on Deanery Synod would be interested in attending as an observer you would be very welcome.
The next Baptism preparation session for families will be held at All Saints' Church on Sunday 19th October at 2.30pm.
This is for all families who are seeking baptism (christening) for their children. At this session we set out what’s involved in having your child baptised: we look at the baptism promises and the duties and responsibilities of parents and godparents. We look at what happens in the service and how you can support your child as they grow up within the Christian faith. At this session, we book in dates for the service.

Autumn fun crafting with an animal theme for children using mixed media (paints, glue, colouring etc). All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The event will be held in the Westbury Parish Hall between 1pm to 4pm on Saturday 25th October
Entry to the event will be free (including light refreshments) and there will be donation buckets available (the proceeds will be used by the Parish Hall volunteers to support the hall renovation activities)
A service to remember those loved ones we have lost however long ago.
We shall be inviting all those for whom we have conducted a funeral or burial of ashes service in our local churches to this service. There will be hymns, prayers, a reading from the Bible, a short reflection and time to remember our loved ones who have died. This service is also for any of our church members or people in the community who would like to remember a loved one who has died at any time. We read out their names in the service. Tea, coffee and cake are served at the end. There is no need to book. Please just turn up with your families and friends. This is a Team service for all our churches this year.
This service is open to anyone.
We shall be holding another Light Party this year, as an alternative to Halloween, for primary school age children and their families.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Younger children with primary school siblings are welcome to come along as well.
There will be crafts, games, story-time, activities, refreshments and fun! Children can dress up in their sparkly party clothes if they wish.

Join us for a Team Service with the Right Revd Andrew Rumsey, Bishop of Ramsbury.
Bishop of Ramsbury is joining us for a Team Service of Holy Communion and Confirmation on this Advent Sunday. We have three candidates from Westbury and Dilton Marsh. This is a very special occasion and we are delighted that the Bishop can come to confirm three adult candidates.
If anyone else is interested in getting baptised and/or confirmed at this service, please be in touch with Revd Rebecca Harris as soon as possible, so we can arrange some appropriate preparation in time.
As this will be a Team Service, there will be no other services in our churches that Sunday. We hope as many people as possible will come along and support this service, and meet our Bishop and enjoy this beautiful and moving service. This will be a good start to the Advent season too.
