Church of England Diocese of Rochester St. Luke, New Brompton

Gillingham: St Luke The Evangelist

Medway's hidden gem!  A lovely, peaceful, prayer-filled church, offering Anglo-Catholic worship in a fairly relaxed style.  We've no priest of our own at the moment, although we are awaiting the arrival of Father Garry Jenkins SSC in the New Year.  Meanwhile, we're open for regular Sunday services and other activities, and everyone is welcome.

This is a Mission Parish of the Society of St. Wilfrid and St. Hilda, in the episcopal care of the Bishop of Richborough.

A said service which takes place every Saturday morning. On the first Saturday each month it is a Cell Mass of Our Lady of Walsingham, and on the third Saturday it is a Requiem for the faithful departed of that particular month (although this pattern may occasionally be altered). The church is open for coffee, a chat, private prayer, or just a look around until 12 noon. (N.B. If no priest is available, the service may take the form of lay-led Communion from the Reserved Sacrament, or, if only one or two are present, simple Morning Prayer).
